After 62km we will meet up with the bikes at Biharwe, and start riding west on the road. Whilst by no means flat, there are no large climbs to trouble us as we cross some marshy low-lying areas, skirting larger hills through small villages and smallholdings. Watch out for the dramatically horned Ankole cattle grazing in small herds. We overnight at the very simple Pan Africa Motel in the village of Ndeija after 54km. F/B.
If the Ruizi road is impassable, we shall leave the National Park from the main Sanga gate, ride 13km on a gently undulating dirt road to the main road, a total of 89km to Ndeija. Over night at Pan Afric Motel. F/B.
